BOOK SIGNING and LOCAL LAUNCH!
I’m excited to announce that Barnes & Noble in Winston-Salem will host a book signing for Unwrapping: A Novel About Generational Trauma on Saturday, June 7 from 2 to 4 pm.
Please come out to see me and buy a copy of the book at that time if you haven’t yet purchased one through the website. I’d love to see friends from the different walks of my North Carolina life that day.
Barnes & Noble is located at 1925 Hampton Inn Ct., Winston-Salem.
ABOUT AGING, ANXIETY AND SELF-CARE
My work as a clinical mental health counselor often involves helping folks manage anxiety, and a big part of that is learning how to do so—it’s not as hard as you may believe.
On Tuesday, May 13 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, I’ll be giving a Zoom presentation called “Anxiety and Tuning In To Yourself” for the free Aging Well Series sponsored by Wake Forest University School of Medicine, the Sticht Center for Healthy Aging and Alzheimer’s Prevention.
I’ll focus on how you can notice anxiety in your body from its earliest appearance, and I’ll discuss self-care steps you can take for short- and long-term benefit.
The Aging Well Series is held the second Tuesday of each month. To register, email AgingWellSeries@wakehealth.edu, and you will be sent a link to join the Zoom.
