Mosaics of Grief Accepted for Publication

I’m excited to share that my second book, Mosaics of Grief: A Novel About Confronting Loss, has been accepted by Rootstock Publishing, a curated hybrid publisher based in Vermont.

Mosaics of Grief is a follow-up to my first book, Unwrapping: A Novel About Generational Trauma, and features the same therapist character, Steve Prescott. The new story finds Prescott, laced with grief after a devastating and unexpected loss, working with several characters themselves encountering unique grief stories. Besides Prescott, readers will be familiar with several supporting characters who made their first appearance in Unwrapping.

Mosaics of Grief, like Unwrapping, spotlights the way counseling works in the real world and demonstrates postmodern counseling therapies that apply to grief, trauma, depression and anxiety.

In the small world department, I was referred to Rootstock by a former colleague from The Hartford Courant, Lyn Bixby, whose excellent book, The Pacifist, was published by the company earlier this year.

Mosaics of Grief is expected to be published in Fall 2027. I look forward to sharing more milestones along the way toward publication.
